Why a forum to talk about sex?
Women, as a group, have a wide variety of sexual experiences throughout their lives. Some women struggle with body image issues, have PTSD from sexual abuse, or just have never been able to feel fulfilled in that aspect of their relationships. There are other women who are sexually free, have had open lines of communication with friends, partners, and clinicians, and because of this, have a healthy and fulfilling sex life. This forum will bring women together and give them a safe place to share their successes, ask questions, and best of all, have a seasoned, female OB/GYN moderate and weigh in on pertinent, current sexual issues, as well as the questions that have affected female sexuality for hundreds of years. Dr. Carolle has spent her life treating and healing women. This rich, complex history of her experiences has inspired her to expand her reach and allow her powerful knowledge to be accessed by more and more women via an online forum. Young or old, troubled or curious, no question is too small or shameful for this expert in women’s health. All are welcome in this forum. Over the course of her career, Dr. Carolle has come to the quintessential realization that sexual and reproductive problems are almost always linked to a trauma, a life event, or a compilation of many happenings over the course of any given woman’s life. Her hope, in creating and moderating this forum, is that through open communication, she can continue to help women see what the root cause of their particular issues are and to resolve the problems starting from the point of inception. Coming to terms with our past as females and identifying how that past is relevant and continuing to shape our present can allow for powerful change and progress in the future. |
